Pretty much all K24 engines have borderline shit oil pumps. Same with the K20Z engines, The issue is the design of the pump and the use of balance shafts in the pumps because some nerd at Honda decided they wanted to make their cars a little bit smoother for a certian RPM range. The K20 Oil pump is a much better design and has a higher efficiency throughout the RPM range. Dont get me wrong, the stock oil pump is great when your stock... but when your up there in milleage or plan to have a bit of fun.. this is CHEAP insurance.

If you are doing any serious performance modifications to your K24 or you want to make sure that engine can stand up to abuse this is a MUST have mod.

Type S oil pump conversion includes:

15100-PRB-A01 Oil pump - Modified to fit k24 engines
11221-PNC-000 Baffle plate
13441-PCX-004 Chain
13450-RAA-A02 Balance Shaft Chain Tensioner
13460-PNC-004 Chain Guide

Pre Notched for installation.

*Add Porting to increase oil flow up to 20% and maintain stablilty up to 10K because of reduced cavitation and oil pressure drop issues due to temperature increase.

And required bolts that are not on your factory setup. 

Works with stock oil pan. If you have an aluminum pan get a steel one.

This kit can take up to 2 weeks to ship since OEM stuff gets hard to come by at times and sometimes I have had to wait a month or so on oil pumps. 

BE AWARE!! MOST OF THE "OEM HONDA" STUFF ON EBAY AND AMAZON IS NOT OEM IF THE PRICE IS TOO GOOD ITS TOO GOOD. THEY CAN KNOCK OFF PARTS DONT YOU THINK THEY CAN KNOCK OFF LABLES? THE PACKAGING FOR THE OEM PARTS IS WRONG IS HOW YOU CAN TELL OTHER THAN PRICE.
